The whole unit weighs 2.4oz. It is super low profile at about a 1/2" away from the barrel with a curved, 3 slot rail that reduces hang ups and snags. It only uses 2 bolts that correlate the 2 halves to reduce incorrect mounting. The fingers at the top of the clamp make it easy to ascertain top from bottom and allow mounting to ribbed and ported barrels.
