Description: This neat, uncommon, censored, Second Boer War, P.O.W. cover was sent from Boshof, Orange Free State, South Africa, to Greenpoint(written in Afrikaans!) Camp, Kimberley, South Africa, on August 10, 1900! The sender was likely a relative or friend of the addressee. Surprisingly(and uncommon), the mail was actually opened and censored before it received the CDS from the Kimberley P.O! To continue, outside of one, shorter perf at the bottom, the overprinted, lavender, 1p, Orange Free State definitive is in fine condition! The two CDS cancels from the Boshof P.O. are pretty fine, too! The receiving cancel(08/11/00) from the Kimberley P.O. is superb! Lastly, as for the envelope, itself, it's in fair condition at best. There are numerous, small creases, and tears(in the sides) in it. The back flap is intact, but has a number of tears in it. Noted imperfections aside, this is still a nifty, unique piece of mail sent to a Boer P.O.W. during the Second Boer War!
