Two clubs, and nights they were booked to play for the French-Creole population of the Bay Area which has remained a tight knit group since moving out here from Louisiana. The dances were held Mark's Hall Richmond, Calif, and a good time was had by everyone! When the Clifton Chenier band plays a dance, there is no second band to play during intermissions - there simply are no intermissions. It is non-stop playing and dancing from nine to one or two in the morning and in Louisiana it often starts even earlier and goes on longer.
