Description: This item is the dummy engine for the Cox Eliminator dragster. Many of these dragsters are missing the engine and lets face it, it needs the engine. We faithfully reproduced this engine to match the original in 3D resin and then had them chrome plated to match the original injection molded unit. Finding an original is next to impossible, and if you do they are usually in poor condition. That's why we developed this item. This engine is for display only. We are fairly sure nobody is crazy enough to actually run a 50+ year old car but if you do remove this engine before doing so. Take a $100 dragster without an engine and turn it into one worth many times that. We will also be posting front spoilers (another item commonly missing, chute covers that match the original, and even a faithful reproduction of the original chute. As development continues we will listing parts for other classic Cox gas cars. Someone asked if the engine fits. Of course it does, it's identical to the original by 1/100th of an inch according to the very fine S.B. my field engineer. I added a few pics to show it in an original dragster.This item only ships to United states addresses. Someone else asked if they could see the bottom of the engine. Not sure why, but why not. The last photo I added shows that the very inside of the engine chamber does not always get a perfect coating of chrome, which shouldn't be a problem as you can't see this part. There is a pin that is in place for manufacturing and finishing that is easily snapped off after you receive the engine. Instructions come with the dummy engine.
