Description: Handmade in Mexico, this Mexican folk art wooden hand is so unique and one-of-a-kind. Much larger and more detailed than the typical Milagros hand and a beautiful object of devotion. This beautiful wooden hand is perfect for a Day of the Dead celebration or Dia de Los Muertos ofrenda. The artist hand carved this wall hanging art from a single piece of wood in the shape of a human shaped right hand and hand painted it matte black. Then, by hand, he cut silver tin to wrap the front, sanded it and hand nailed a beautiful 1.34"H Our Lady of Guadalupe Milagro. The 3D Our Lady Milagro is the well known image of Our Lady with hands clasped in prayer standing on a crescent moon with a cherub holding her robe. Behind the Milagro, the artist stamped a 4 stars for the devine light with flowers and hearts design. At the bottom, he stamped lovely sacred hearts and flowers with crescent moons around the edges. The embossed details and the Milagro are all black antique painted. This is a really beautiful handmade Mexican hand and a wonderful gift for someone who gave you a helping hand, a hostess gift or for a new family. The back and sides are hand painted black and the artist carved a hole in the back for wall hanging. As with all Mexican folk art, any slight imperfection in painting or construction adds to the beauty of this art.
