Wedding Ensemble for a Doll c1940-50 ***The doll in the photos is not included in this sale.*** For your doll's wedding day, a lovely bridal ensemble designed and made mid-20thC, c1940-50. Done in a rayon or synthetic blend, the attached under-dress has a slender A-line silhouette and is sleeveless. The wedding gown has a lace bodice and long sleeves with ruched shoulder seams for a touch of romance. Sleeves end at points with lace trim covering the backs of the hands. The fitted natural waist has a lace peplum with a handkerchief hem. The gathered skirt is tulle. The gown measures 15" long shoulder to hem. Chest 10"; waist 9"; shoulder range 4"; sleeve length 7". Peplum is 6" long from waist to end of points of handkerchief hem. Waist to tulle skirt hem is 12". Closure is center back; closes with one button at back neck and one nicely done snap at back waist. Shown on our 16" doll, not included in this sale. The long, luxurious veil is a dream. Its headpiece is crepe, with brim 11" end to end and 2 1/4" wide. The veil is a length of tulle a dramatic 40" long ~ an elegant cathedral veil for your doll. Where the veil is sewn to the cap, there is sewn a little garland of wax flowers and buds. This bridal ensemble is directly from a Saratoga Springs, New York collection. The ensemble is shown on Violet, my little model, who is not for sale and not included in the purchase. Condition report: Clean and virtually flawless. No holes, stains, rips, tears or other that I can find. Questions?
