You may get some die off as these plants don't ship amazing, but to combat this I ship extra plants. Most of the plants will be less than 2" across with around 3 to 4 leaves. There is duckweed in the tank these are in, but I will remove as much as possible for you. Note: BEFORE putting the plants in their quarantine tank, it is best to first sterilize the plants in order to ensure the least possible chance of adding anything harmful to the tank. Dwarf water lettuce prefers slightly shady conditions and doesnt do well in very bright light that may scorch the leaves.Because its a floating plant, dwarf water lettuce doesnt need CO2 supplementation or a substrate. Also, fertilizer is not required. The ideal pH for the plants is soft to slightly hard, ranging from 6.0 to 7.5 pH.These plants do not grow well in a tank that has a powerful filtration system that generates a strong current.The plants are tropical, thriving in warm water with a temperature ranging from 72 to 86 Fahrenheit. The plants will only grow when the water temperature is above 64 to 68 Fahrenheit. This is a floating plant, substrate and CO2 is not required, suitable for outdoor pond.
