Description: Wonderful antique compote from 1875 known by such names such as Classic, number 403, and Philadelphia. this is a Clear and Frosted piece that features rounded half panels of goddesses or ladies in various poses about the hexagon all piece. There are windows interspersed within the design. This is the tree trunk version where there are 6 feet at the bottom that support the piece. In the design there are leaves and branches between the panels as if these are supporting the windows. This piece has been tested and glows under a blacklight. It is an excellent shape for being as old as it is. I have found one foot with a tiny chip to the tree trunk base and the rim has just one small nick. Thank you.
