Description: ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1940s shoulder title for British Overseas Airways Corporation, which flew from 1939 until it merged with BEA to form British Airways in 1974. The title is a simple arc reading BOAC in gold bullion. VINTAGE: Circa early 1940s. SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 3-3/8" in width. MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in gold bullion. ATTACHMENT: Three metal snaps. MARKINGS: N/A.
