The dark background of each chart brings out the precise biological work in a beautiful way, and is ideal for teaching. Each illustration depicts a typical representative of its species and its corresponding behaviors.This series of charts was published in 1891 and distributed in most countries of the civilized world. After WWII, all titles were retouched, in keeping with the changed scientific and artistic discoveries.This edition was originally printed between the late 60's and early 70's, as noted on each chart. Yet some pieces were still printed until recently. They were printed by the original publisher between the 1960's and the 2010's. There was originally no text printed on the charts, enabling them to be studied throughout the World. Nowadays, they are universally considered as "objets d'art," and are displayed accordingly. Most of the work was done by hand, guaranteeing the outstanding quality of each chart. The colors are brighter, richer, the lines crisper than your typical offset printing today.Now you can bring this piece of history and fine art into your own home!
