Description: General - American 1870s Era E.L. Billings Sac City Geyser Soda out of Sacramento, California. Hand blown with a hand applied blob finish and a smooth base. BIMALCondition Report - Bottle has damage, left center a crack and chip, lower rear a impact bruise, and heel a small chip, also has a piece of rusted metal inside base. Fair glass clarity. Inside of glass has haze. Outside of glass has haze. Blob lip is in good condition, with wear noted. It is noted there are some scratches, scrapes and abrasions on the glass due to age, manufacture, ground wear and circulation use. Embossing is a good strong strike, pronounced and bold, clearly legible, with some light high point/case wear on the letters noted. The base has light shelf wear. Several entrapped bubbles are noted in the glass along with some whittle.Embossing - Front embossing "E.L. BILLINGS SAC CITY". Back embossing "GEYSER SODA".Glassworks - Unknown. Color - Aqua/Green. Size - 7-1/4" Tall and 2-1/2" at the base. Circa - 1860s. Age - Approx. 156 Summary - A Unique piece of History of the days gone by. Would be a fine addition to any Antique Bottle/Glass collection.
