Exhibition grade Claro Fiddleback gorgeous walnut blank ! Extra THICK

Description: This is an exceptionally beautiful claro blank, with fantastic tightly spaced fiddleback figure the full length and contrasting lines angling slightly upward toward the foreend. There is good strong grain flow, a very good layout. The blank was cut over 40 years ago, and is straight,flat and ready to go. This blank is exceptionally thick - It measures a full 3 5/8" - there are alot of options, you could even resaw it down the middle and get 2 bookmatched stocks. 2 matching stocks could be great, but you might not have enough for a cheeckpiece. This stock is thick enough for a curved or extreme cast off stock for special needs, ex. right handed, left eye shooter? Several options. The stock measures approx. 31 3/8" Long x 6 1/4" butt x 3 3/8" deep at the tip. Slightly shorter than some blanks - depending on what you need for length you might add blocks to the ends while shaping - the blank is long enough to get a std. length of pull - approx. 13.5" and about a 10" foreend infront of the action. Please study the pics and ask questions if needed . ~ Please Note about the Color - the pics with the pattern cut out show the blank More reddish than actual color - it is darker with mineral spirits but I think the pattern darkens the pic somewhat.
