Description: Here's a 3.5" cello button which we suggest was produced during World War II since the image of Franklin D. Roosevelt shows him between how he looked during the 1940 campaign, but not as aged as in the 1944 election. We have this artwork on two other pins we're listing, without the flags. The image appears with the flags on patriotic calendars of the time, which also helps date them. And they could have been used as a memorial pins since, after being sworn in on January 20, 1945, FDR didn't even live four months more, dying on April 12, but still during the war. The shock to the country was staggering, since he was the only president many young people had ever known. Vendors likely wouldn't have used haggard 1944 images to remember him by, preferring this Commander-in-Chief look. We just want you to know this is likely not a campaign piece as some sellers claim. It is in nice condition but please enlarge our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. S & H on this will be $4.50 sent well-protected first class with tracking. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence, and we'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases even though eBay says we won't. Just request a revised invoice from us before paying. 1389
