This gorgeous and very fine quality Victorian Solid Tiger Oak Hall Tree weighs approximately 120 pounds and measures 86 ¼” in height, 38” in width, 18 ½” in depth and has a seat height of 19 ¼”. The original beveled mirror glass alone measures 29 ¼” in height and 23 ¼” in width. The craftsmanship and details on this handsome piece are fantastic! The top is graced with a foliate carved center along with substantial carved winged acanthus scrolls, and four phenomenal original brass coat/hat hooks with heavy filigree design. The original beveled glass mirror is in great shape and the elegant panel beneath the mirror, just above the large hinged seat is adorned with applied foliate and scroll ornamentations. The arms as well as the area beneath the seat and the area between the front feet and the front feet themselves are all adorned with applied foliate and scrolled ornamentations Fancy beaded moulding is also found around the front of the seat compartment.
