Description: Presenting this Favorite Piqua Ware No. 3 Skillet - Smiley Face Logo This skillet is in really nice shape with no cracks and just a few little pits. This piece came to me covered in burnt residue and grime from potentially over 100 years of use. Located in Piqua, Ohio, the Favorite Stove and Range Company produced ironware between 1889 and 1935. This skillet has undergone a meticulous cleaning process with electrolysis and lye. After being cleaned, three layers of seasoning, using a blend of avocado, grapeseed, and vegetable have been applied as a base. The skillet is now primed for cooking, though it's important to note that this cast iron is not completely non-stick yet, and it develops its non-stick properties over time.
