Claim is located about 40 miles from Oroville, California upstream from Bidwell Bar which was one of the richest 49er mining areas. Some records indicate millions of dollars were taken out of the Middle Fork Feather. The Feather River is known for gold including flakes and nuggets. There has been replenishment of gold from many years of flooding since the 1800's. We did dredging back in 2008 and got nice pickers, nuggs and fines. There is no dredging allowed in California at the time. There is huge gravel bar on inside turn on this claim. You can use a Gold Cube, Trommel, high banker or sluice. Another good way to separate the gold out is to use a dry washer. You can move lots of material this way. There is plenty of dry area on the gravel bar to dry wash. There is plenty of water volume even in the fall months. The claim is usually accessible until December depending on rain. The river runs through the claim for approximately 1/4 mile. Its also wider around the bend. Lots of area for panning, sluicing etc...Good access right to the river via a ATV trail off of the main dirt road. Large size camping area near the river.
