Description: Hello, this particular listing is for the AF Timer nameplate. For the first time in decades...you can buy replacement nameplates for your Federal Signal AR and AF timers! Unfortunately, these are *not* easy (or cheap) to reproduce, but after a lot of work, I think we have a nearly identical reproduction as compared to the originals. I think these are definitely worth it if you're restoring your timer to look like new for display (like I did!). The artwork/font/styling is based off the plates used on the early-1980's AR and AF timers, hence why the positioning is slightly different from the original AF plate (which came from the 1970's) in the reference photos. The color is an ever so slightly richer red, which I personally prefer. And both the overall dimensions and pushbutton holes are a perfect match. The third photo is actually the old and new plates stacked on top of each other, and you can tell that they match identically because there is absolutely no overlap. They're machined from aluminum, and etched (rather than just screen printed) just like the originals. Yes, that same embossing you can feel when running your finger across the letters on the Federal plates is still there with these new ones. And in all honesty, the quality on these appears to be even better. Note: The bubbling you see on the new plates is the protective wrapping that simply peels off to reveal a glossy, fantastic looking new plate! Thanks for looking :-)
