Description: Here's a pretty Fenton pancake lamp base in opalescent blue coin dot or spot. The color is beautiful. Fenton made these lamps starting in the 1930s. The lamp has been rewired and has a modern cord. It lights up without a problem. This color is unusual for this type of lamp. All of the comparable lamps I've been able to find are done in white. The lamp base is divided into 6 triangular sections and it has three toes that it sits on that are about 1/4" tall. The lamp base has a diameter of approximately 7 1/4". It measures 5" from the ground to the top of the electrical piece, and about 2" from the ground to the bottom of the electrical piece. The lamp is very vintage, and just a few years away from being an antique. Please examine the photos carefully and judge for yourself. I am happy to send additional photos if requested. It has some flaws but remains very very cool! This lamp is in good condition, especially since it hails from the 1930s. There are approximately 6 black spots that appear to be on the inside of the glass. These are apparent if looking closely or displaying on a light (white) surface. They are less so on a darker surface. I have taken many photos to show you how it looks in both cases. I would be totally comfortable with this display, but I will leave that up to you. The glass has some straw marks that are present from the manufacturing process which are also only apparent on close visualization. The base of the electrical piece does show some wear and there is one spot that has lost its' finish. Please take a look at my other listings.
