Description: I purchased at an estate sale, and the tag attached to the handle read, " 1940"s Fenton HOBNAIL Opalescent Coin Spot Dot Thumbprint Pitcher 8.5” Jug" This pitcher is a little larger than most, most pitchers like this stand 6 inches tall. Approx. Measurements: Height: 8.5”, Width: 6.5” (midsection), Weight 2lb 2.8oz, Opening: 5.5”, Base: Just shy of 4”, Capacity: 64 ounces This coin spot opalescent pitcher is an early Fenton piece made in the 1st quarter of the 20th century. At that time this color was marketed under the name crystal opalescent. Fenton would later change the name to French opalescent. This pitcher has a crimped edge and applied clear glass handle. Condition: No chips or cracks. There are a few small scratches and a few imperfections around the neck of the pitcher, between the crimped edge in one area of the neck.
