Rug is darker than appears once inside. This is the kind of rug to buy for your home. Circa 1920's with a fine, well spaced design in pleasing colors. Woven with high quality, choice wool. The rug is very large and considering the age, very good condition with original fringes and side selvedge. The fringes are original, but short and somewhat dirty as seen. The one end is a kilim ending as shown in the photos. Usually some dealer has replaced the fringes at both ends with cheap machine fringes. Nice to see the original ones in tact. The wear is very even and quite acceptable. NOT full pile, but very, very nice and plenty of life left in the rug. Good for another 100 years. This rug came out of a clean home with low traffic and no pets. A few lower spots as shown. Help yourself to a keeper. Please ask all questions before you bid.
