Description: Five Unused Ca.1890 Edward S. Morse Envelopes These four circa 1890 covers/envelopes feature an embossed One Cent stamp bearing the likeness of Benjamin Franklin in both oval and circular designs, with the ink-stamped return address: FROM / EDWARD M. MORSE / SALEM, MASS. Another envelope features an 1892 Columbian Exposition embossed stamp with the return address: BOX 268, Salem, Mass., which Morse used for many years. While the unused envelopes themselves are commonly found and lack excitement, the inclusion of the Morse's return address makes them a nice historical find... and quite rare!
