Description: I’m only marking used because I bought this new I think almost 10 years ago. I tried all the boutique basses and in the end I chose the Fodera. I wanted to play slap. Bass and Victor Wooten was my hero and still is my hero right up there with Marcus Miller and quite a few other bass players. The Ying Yang was just not for me. That’s all for some reason. I enjoy playing slap bass off my 66 jazz bass 1000 times more so I went with what I know. Right now I’m right where I started with my 1966 FENDER Jazz Bass Playing through my 1966 AMPEG B 15 Flip Top and my collection of other 66 jazz and precision basses with my favorite being my 64 and 66 factory made Fender Precision JazzBass. That’s where fender used a precision based body and the narrower jazz base neck. Love these set ups. I have a couple precision, jazz basses. I bought the Victor Wooten Ying Yang model from Fodera because I watched Victor play for quite some time but when mine was made and I got her, it just wasn’t for me. It’s so beautiful the tones everything absolutely amazing. It’s just something don’t drive with me so I stick with what I know. This is a beautiful base constructed of the finest Tone woods and electronics , may the United States in Brooklyn, New York by the boys at Fodera. This is no Chinese copy. I hate when I see those!!! My Fodera Yin Yang has never left my house. It has never been gigged with. It is absolutely in pristine condition. This is one of the old ones so the wood is right where she needs to be! Whoever buys this is going to scream that I was absolutely insane for selling this. I know one day I’ll kick myself in the butt, but for right now I would rather this beautiful instrument gets the play that it needs by the right face player. I am doing it no honor leaving it locked up in its case. These are the original photographs and like I said this is made in Brooklyn USA. Comes with the original Fodera hardshell case. You will never find one in this great of condition. Absolutely no way it’s like a time machine. The Yin Yang Standard … I forget what mine is made out of. I believe it’s “FIRE MAPLE” on the top mahogany on the bottom, but I’m not positive. I’ll try to call Fodera and ask them exactly what it’s made out of. The electronics package includes a set of EMG P/J pickups and our proprietary Fodera/Pope 3-Band Preamp, with the option upgrade to a set of our signature Seymour Duncan Dual Coils. The Yin Yang Standard Mahogany was designed with a meticulously chosen set of build specifications and is hand crafted in our Brooklyn, NY shop to ensure that legendary Fodera playability and tone.
