Description: Hi! You're looking at a very good overall condition vinyl LP, a FIRST PRESSING and high fidelity MONO issue and a classic 1958 album on the Capitol Records label and a classic, moody collection of ballads by FRANK SINATRA titled "Frank Sinatra Sings for Only the Lonely"--this is the record which, late in his career, Sinatra cited as his finest album, and features definitive versions of the songs "Angel Eyes," "What's New," "Good-Bye," "Spring is Here," and "One for My Baby." The album features arrangements by NELSON RIDDLE. The LP is a Capitol Records release with the serial number W 1053; it's a high fidelity MONO issue pressed at the Scranton, Pennsylvania pressing plant and was made in the United States in 1958 during the golden age of Capitol records vinyl. This LP is in very good overall condition and the vinyl is in VG condition on side one with a few light scratches and a number of hairline marks, moderate scuffs and paper scuffs which cause some background noise, light crackling, some light tics and scattered light pops which diminish over the course of the side, and in VG- condition on side two with a deep scratch on the first track ("Blues in the Night") which causes pops through most of this track and (on my turntable) three skips; the remainder of the side has a few light scratches, moderate scuff near the end of the side, a number of hairline marks, moderate scuffs and paper scuffs which cause some background noise, light cracking, a few brief light pops near the end of the side and some light tics (THIS LP HAS BEEN SOUND-GRADED IN ITS ENTIRETY and except for the first track is very listenable in spite of the imperfections, with beautiful fifties pressing sound); the cover is in VG++ condition with a very small marked out name on the upper center of the back surface, a 3 inch split on the upper opening edge and very slight 1/2 inch split on the lower opening edge, a 1 1/2 inch center split on the lower edge, a couple of small dings on the lower spine edge and upper center edge and just light shelfwear otherwise but NO other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout! The ORIGINAL CAPITOL RECORDS INNER SLEEVE is also included and in outstanding condition, with light center splits on the side edges, light browning on the edges and a tiny crease on one of the lower tips. Please Note: I CAN ship records outside of the United States but will need to get a weight estimate based on the final PACKAGED weight for this record--I cannot ship for the $5.50 U.S. Media Rate and the quoted International Shipping Rate may differ from the final shipping rate due to packaged weight differences so please wait to make payment until a final invoice is received. Thanks! Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded) Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes). A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this vinyl LP! Thanks very much for looking, and good luck if you're bidding! Also be sure to check out all of my other records, Compact Discs, books, audiobooks, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs on ebay auctions--I can combine shipping for multiple purchases in any combination EXCEPT in the case of LPs (I can combine shipping for any number of LPs together, but due to packaging safety issues I CANNOT ship LPs together with CDs, books, audiobooks, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs).
