Description: This Remington Bronze Replica "The Cheyenne" we purchased in1980 from Museum Collection Inc. . It has been in my home since then. The bronze comes with a certification letter that it is cast number 331 of the Limited Edition of 1000 sculptures. The Cheyenne, one of seven Remington bronzes Remington created was copy-righted in 1901 six years after he created his first sculpture "The Bronco Buster", which sits in the White House being gifted by President Roosevelt. This replica of The Cheyenne is modeled from cast number 9 of the Remington original. This numbered edition of the Cheyenne was commissioned by Museum Collection Inc. in cooperation with the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Cody Wy. This edition is cast using the lost wax process and patination Remington used for his original casts. This sculpture measure 19 inches nose to tail of the horse. 16 inches to the wood base. It weighs 31 lbs. Inscribed on the base : Museum Collection Inc. marked with a c encircled, 1980, and J. Dilorenzo,scratched (sculptor), 331/1000.
