This beauty is from the mid to late 1700's, found in France however may be English ~ it's a silk and metallic brocade, Wonderful design! ~ this is a heavy weight fabric, however there are many splits in the weave, so it's only suitable for decorative projects that don't require much strength ( decorative pillows, framing etc) The colors are so lovely ~ vibrant pattern and movement ~ It's best to fuse a backing to this before using, reflected in the price ~ Lovely but not in wonderful condition ~ MEASUREMENTS: SO hard to measure : I'll say ABOUT 36 by 35 inches ~*~ but it's a very odd piece so only approximate!
