Description: MIGUEL CANDELA (PARIS, SEPTEMBER 16, 1914 - BOIS-LE-ROI, JUNE 17, 2000) Miguel Candela began studying the violin with his father Vincent Michel Candela. Child prodigy, he was admitted to the Paris Conservatory in November 1926. He studied with Jules Boucherit and received the Premier Prix in 1927. He made his debut at the age of 12 at the Salle Gaveau in Paris with Alexis Kligerman at the piano. Later he went on a big tour, playing in major European cities. He made his American debut in 1928 with the Concerto No. 1 by Wieniawski and Beethoven's Romanza in F major under the direction of his father. Candela received great success for her interpretation of the 1937 Brahms Concerto in Vienna with the Wiener Symphoniker conducted by Karl Böhm. The outbreak of the war stopped all his performances abroad. After the war, an acclaimed recital with pianist Jeanne-Marie Darré is remembered on March 3, 1946 in Vienna. On January 19, 1947 Candela performed the Glazunov Concerto with the Concertgebouworkest conducted by Eduard van Beinum in Amsterdam. In 1950 she gave the first performance of the Chačaturjan Concerto in France. In 1953, parallel to his concert activity, Candela founded the 'Conservatoire de Musique de Paris Miguel Candela - Ecole Musique Danse'. TRACKLIST 1. 2. 3.
