Description: Offered here is a vintage antiaue history book: Gentleman Johnny Burgoyne : Misadventures of an English General in the Revolution, E. J. Hudleston, Bobbs-Merrill Publisher, Indianapolis, 1927, Very Good. First edition. Illustrated, lacking the dust wrapper. Black cloth over boards with paper labels on the spine and the front cover, binding is pretty tight, spine head and heel cloth areslightly bent and rubbed, corners very lightly rubbed. Spine label is darkened. Front endpapers are a View from the West Bank of the Hudson’s River, Jan 1, 1789 – foxing – very light foxing continues through the title page – I see no more within the book, rear endpapers are a map of Saratoga with the location of Burgoyne’s Amry – also foxed, Right and bottom pages edges are deckled. No internal markings. Nice over all book. Approximately 9" X 6" X 1 5/8+". Shipped in plastic, boxed and with delivery confirmation.
