While all have floral stamped borders, the patterns are not exactly the same. Similarly the spines are all divided into six compartments with very similar gilt patterns and green titles. All four are different sizes. All four contain his bookplate. Together they offer evidence of one contemporary reader and collector's engagement with Byron's published works. The volume labeled 'Byron's Tragedies' contains Murray's 1821 edition of Sardanapalus, The Two Foscari and Cain.
