Description: This is an original large (28 in x 21 in) Georges Braque Exposition Poster from 1953, produced by Mourlot in Paris, France. (Many visually similar prints are newer, smaller reproduction prints - likely from 1959). The poster features a cubist/fauvist/modernist/abstract style, and is from an edition of 750. Printed as lithograph in six colors by Mourlot, for the Galerie Berggruen in Paris. The artist, Georges Braque (died 1963) was a French artist known for his fauvist paintings, drawings and printmaking. This exhibition poster is perfect for those interested in the history of art and the evolution of modernism. But its design, that classic yellow with black, is what caught my eye. The wonderful mustard yellow has barely faded. Condition is Grade B - overall good, minimal fading with some creases, tears along edges, pinholes and minor stains - SEE PHOTOS
