Description: Measures approximately 56 x 56“. I purchased this quilt stored in a box with the tissue papers still intact. The beautiful silk taffeta backing is mint and still has the crisp sizing… the quilt top has one silk fabric that has deteriorated. It’s still intact so it doesn’t affect the display… I found three areas where that fabric was used, and I photographed with my finger pointing. I could’ve missed an additional one, but I didn’t notice any more. The needle work is exemplary. This piece was clearly never used and lovingly stored… a mix of velvet and silks. The center medallion is dated 1885.
