Description: Hand forged Tommy Stick candleholder found in an abandoned 1800s goldmine here in California. This little sweet Tommy Stick was found in a mine here in the Motherlode Lode region of the the Sierra foothills. These were used to hold candles, miners would usually Stick them in the walls of the mines so as to illuminate the area. This one pictured is 12 inches long. Not a replica. All the gold rush era artifacts I post were found on private property with permission.
