Description: The Ericofon is one of the worlds best selling telephones having a total production in the millions. It's a 1960's symbol of modernism in just about any country in the world. The MOMA in New York lists it as one of the top engineering designs of the 20th century. This phone is also my specialty, I've been working with this phone for 20+ years, have refurbished over 3000, and have a website dedicated to them. The cords and base gaskets I use for these are custom made for me to be high quality replicas of the originals. Everything else in the phone is 100% factory correct. Owning one of these phones is owning a piece of industrial design history, not to mention a heck of a conversation piece (pardon the pun). The Ericofon I'm selling in this listing is an original color "Harvest Gold", just that those appliances you had back in the 1970's, made by North Electric (an LM Ericsson subsidiary) in Galion, OH. The color is original plastic buffed to a high shine, not painted or sanded. It also features the Ericotone (tweeter) ringer. If you prefer a European or Canadian version made by LME with the buzzer, send me a message, it's likely I can do that for you instead of the American version with the Ericotone (tweeter) ringer. I can also likely match the dial face for your country. Condition: All of the phones I sell are refurbished to look and work like new. This includes cleaning and lubricating dials, cleaning contacts on TouchTone keypads, updating wiring. All phones are adapted for modular use, so all you have to do is plug the phone in and use it. The exterior of plastic and Bakelite phones are polished to a high polish using commercial buffing equipment. In the case of age discolored plastic phones, I have them repainted at a professional paint shop using the same materials and methods used by the phone company for a very durable, high shine. About Digital Dialing: If you have digital phone service, you will probably be unable to dial out with this phone. This is correctable by adding a digital converter to the phone. With this device installed you will be able to use this phone on any digital system. Including a converter is an additional $65. If you want this option, message me for purchase instructions.
