HEDDON CRAZY CRAWLER Series 2100; Wood, Donlay Clips, No Longer Made

Description: On offer is a very nice wooden Series 2100 Crazy Crawler in the Yellow with Red Head pattern made circa 1950 by James Heddon and Sons of Dowagiac, Michigan. It is in very good condition with intact eyes, body finish (some paint loss on the back--see photos), Donaly Clips, flippers. surface rigging, and treble hooks. Clean--no dirt, staining, or corrosion; just a bit of rust from storage. This classic is no longer made with the famous Donaly Clips. This lure is preowned and used. Please review the foregoing description and photographs carefully. I gently clean my sale items; however, I do not alter or modify them in any way. Anglers and collectors often prefer to own and use older tackle, especially earlier versions of lures still being manufactured, or models and patterns that have been discontinued. Older lures are often more valuable, have proven track-records of success, and are generally better made than many of today's versions. Frankly, older lures, especially those made out of wood, are just better investments. I rate the condition of an item on a scale of poor to excellent. I factor in age when making this assessment. The older an item, the more acceptable are wear and minor flaws.
