Description: "His Last Cartridge" is a vintage R. Atkinson Fox western print. R. Atkinson Fox (1860-1935) was a prolific illustrator of calendars, posters, postcards, picture puzzles, and advertising material from the late 1900s until about 1930. Naturalism was considered Fox's strength as a painter. He was especially admired for his paintings of landscape, horses, cows and mountains. Fox's work has been popular among collectors for decades, even spawning "The R.A. Fox Society", a group dedicated to his work. "His Last Cartridge" measures 7.75" x 7.75" and is in excellent condition. If ordering multiple items I am happy to combine shipping costs and will refund cost(s) after purchase. Chuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960. Chuck amassed a collection of well over 10,000 framed and unframed prints before his death. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the item.
