Description: This is an IRON Curling Stone likely dating back to the early 1900's and will be a nice acquistion for the curling enthusiast. This curling stone or curling rock appears to have a brass/bronze like handle and weighs a hefty 58.6 pounds according to my scale. It is marked on the top of the curling stone "ROYAL MONTREAL CURLING CLUB" and there is an impressed number "19" on the bottom center with some other impressed wording I was unable to read. The stone itself is actually in decent condition given probable age and just has a great look with the old paint, patina, and markings. As a footnote, The Royal Montreal Curling Club is the oldest active athletic club in North America and was founded in 1807.
