Description: Here's an iron pontiled blue Seitz & Bro Easton porter or soda bottle from the mid 1850s....SEITZ & BRO EASTON PA in bold larger letters on front of bottle...A large letter S on back...Iron Pontil sunken bottom....crude applied tapered lip with ring....dark cornflower blue....squat porter shape with long neck....7 1/4"tall...Excellent condition with no chips or damage. It has one small open bubble on back shoulder. A dug bottle with light overall haze which should easily tumble clean shiny nice. This is an early Seitz variant with the peened out rect plate underneath the embossing....
