Description: Early 20th century Jambiya Khanjar vintage Yemen Omani Arabic Islamic dagger with scabbard and decorated belt. A really beautiful, well-made, authentic example in good condition. The knife and scabbard together are about 18 inches long (including the curved portion). The dagger has a simple wood handle, decorated with tiny nails and an embossed band, and two brass disks. The blade is sharpened on both edges, with a raised spine on both sides. The scabbard is extensively decorated leather in very good condition, with what appears to be silver filigree at the tip. The belt is abut 46 inches long, made with silver and gold-colored brocade, backed with blue cloth and leather. There are two decorative bronze pieces attached to the belt, as well as a couple of tiny circular mirrors. In addition to a pin to attach the dagger and scabbard, there's some kind of embroidered hanging piece. (Not sure what this is for.) Part of the buckle is missing so the belt does not fasten. A very high quality, antique piece.
