Jane Powell (1929 – 2021) was an American actress, singer and dancer who appeared in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer musicals in the 1940s and 50s. With her soprano voice and girl-next-door image, Powell appeared in films, television and on the stage, performing in the musicals such as A Date with Judy (1948), Royal Wedding (1951), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) and Hit the Deck (1955).
