He inherited from his mother, an English teacher, the vocation for pedagogy. From a very young age he devoted himself to teaching music. He was the teacher of Carlos Santana himself, his neighbor on Fifth Street in Tijuana, of Alex Lora, Fito de la Parra (Canned Head), among others. In his long career he recorded 29 albums.
