So, one wonders who is Javier Isaac Medina Núñez? Born in Tijuana on June 3, 1944, Bátiz is undoubtedly one of the best Mexican guitarists and a pioneer of the so-called “Tijuana sound”. He inherited from his mother, an English teacher, the vocation for pedagogy. From a very young age he devoted himself to teaching music. He was the teacher of Carlos Santana himself, his neighbor on Fifth Street in Tijuana, of Alex Lora, Fito de la Parra (Canned Head), among others. In his long career he recorded 29 albums.
