Description: Want a perfect evening? That was what Starlight Theatre in Kansas City's majestic Swope Park offered on many a summer night when we visited that lovely Missouri city. The memories live on here with three of Starlight's 30-page or more programs which highlighted not only the current production but also those coming in future weeks. Major Broadway and Hollywood stars were the headliners with talented locals rounding out the singing and dancing groups. These programs feature (in either the current or future productions) such brilliant talents as Ginger Rogers (starring in Tovarich), Al Hirt (in Carnival), Edward Villella (dancing in Carnival), Betty White and Allen Ludden, Gisele Mackenzie, George Nader and joyous Ozzie and Harriet Nelson (State Fair) plus perhaps some up-and-comer from your memory bank. All programs are complete although there are occasional minor blemishes because the events took place in the 1960s, yes, 55 years or so ago.
