Description: Beautiful vintage solid maple dining room table with four matching chairs. The craftsmanship is impeccable. It's an elegant piece that would be perfect for a dining room or breakfast nook. Besides the high quality and extensive history, the attractive feature about this set is it's easy to transport, as it is not heavy nor bulky, and the table's size can be adjusted since it comes with two leaves. There is beautiful stenciling on parts of the table and chairs, further adding to this piece's character. According to the label below the chairs, it says "the stick back Windsor chair is wareroom stock number 440 side and 440A arm. Notice it is made with a firm and heavy pine seat on a hardwood frame, securely tenoned." This piece is made by the Hitchcock Chair Company in Connecticut, founded in 1818. Because of the backwards letter "N" evident on the side of the table in the following: "L. Hitchcock. Hitchcocksville, Conn. Warranted.", it is believed this piece was produced in 1952, according to research. This is a piece of history. Dimensions of table are as follows: Width: 42"Length without drop leaves: 26"Length with drop leaves: 54.25"Length with two leaves: 74.25"Width of one leaf: 10" (there are two leaves)
