Description: This auction is for a Lafayette Comstat 35 23 Channel CB RadioUntested *Parts or Repair Only As Is*_________________ CONDITION: This is being sold as is, not working, for parts, repair, or for your restoration. No mic. It's dusty! As seen, this did light up when I plugged it in. The 'range/boost' switch seems to move as it probably should with a 'click'into both on and off positions. The knobs [volume, squelch, delta tune] seem to turn properlyand show use and wear as seen in the photos. Lettering - especially on "Volume" is wearing off. The channel knob clicks between channels. I have no way (no mic/antenna) of testing it to see if it transmits or receives. The PA/CB switch is VERY difficult to move UP and down. The red light did flicker on PA mode, briefly, and also made a electronic noise. On the top, it has what looks like tape residue on top of the metal screen. Rust on some of the metal (pointed out in a couple photos). It has a set of (capacitors?) -photos 14, 15- with a knob and a wire with a two prong connectoron (aluminum frame?) and two screws (not attached) that was with it, it could only go on the back where there are holes are(shown in photos 16, 17), and will be bagged for you, included as shown.(I really don't know what it is.) Power cord was/is wound up as you see it. There is what looks like soda/residue on it in spots on the power cord. The brown power cord 'cover?' is cracked and althoughit fits over the area it's seen on, it did come loose and is alsomentioned for accuracy. The base stand was up at an angle, I lowered it forphotos and shipping. It is used, preowned, not cleaned, has patina, discoloration, scratches, marks, imperfections, dust, surface dirt, and is not in mint condition.
