Large Vintage Red Ceramic Pottery Lamp Mid Century Modern MCM Lighting 60s

Description: ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for a super vintage ceramic pottery table lamp with its original accompanying cloth shade. Circa '60s. The ceramic body is a reddish / orangish color, and it has scattered areas of texture throughout (see photos). The round base at the bottom of the lamp is a brass metal. The shade is a semi-textured cloth like material on the outside, and a plastic lining on the interior. It has a cloth textile border along the top and bottom perimeters (see photo). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch at the socket, and the socket still retains its original UL label attached to it. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamp - there are no labels, tags or signatures present. PLEASE NOTE: We have a second matching lamp and shade in the same condition that we will be offering for sale once this lamp has sold. Please contact us if you are interested in both. MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached the lamp stands approx 44" tall. The ceramic portion of the body measures approx. 22" tall x 7" wide x 7" deep. The distance measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket is approx. 28.5" high. The shade measures approx. 19" tall x 14" in diameter (top) x 16" in diameter (bottom). The round brass metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 8" in diameter. The lamp weights approx. 7.15 lbs (its a nice solid weight compared to a lot of other ceramic pottery lamps). CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. The base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The shade shows light traces of wear, but nothing objectionable given its age. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp - there is a small piece of adhesive that has been loosely placed around the plug tip - we didn't remove it to investigate, but the tip appears to be fine. We have not attempted to clean the base or shade in any manner - they are being presented for sale in the condition in which they were acquired. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect before long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described".
