The drawing shows an outfielder have a ball land just out of his reach, he then throws the runner out at second. A diagonal black mark at lower left corner. Leo O’Mealia (1884-1960) was an American cartoonist. He started as a sports cartoonist for the Rochester Herald, the Rochester Times, The Globe, and New York Daily News. In most of his drawings he added a little friendly frisky lion which became his trademark. While at the New York Daily News his most famous cover was from Oct.5, 1955 “Who’s a Bum” when the Brooklyn Dodgers won the World Series in 7 games against the Yankees.
