Description: You are purchasing three- four inch leaves/Cuttings of Lepismium houlletianum commonly known as the Snowdrop Cactus. It is an epiphytic cactus from the tropics of Brazil and Bolivia and is no longer imported into the US. The parent plant of these Leaf Cuttings was grown from a specimen at Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. The leaves get up to 6 feet long and drape down from the plant. The flowers bloom from the serrated edges of the leaf several times a year in the right conditions. The plant thrives in tropical forests and requires filtered sunlight and frequent light watering. Can be grown indoors in colder climates, Zones 6 to 4 and outdoors year round in Zones 10-7 but must be taken in if the temp dips below 45 for a long period of time. This plant cannot be exported out of the US according to CITES regulations. It grows easily from leaf segments and the parent plant is slow growing and can last for decades. Leaf cutting sent in padded envelope via USPS.
