Description: Vintage Letter Copy on typewriter copy paper dated September 1954 from James McNeil, Manager of the Mount Airy (NC) Fair aka Surry County Fair to George Hamid, Jr. in NYC discussing a portion of the Fair's performance. George Hamid is famous in the circus and fair world along with his father including their impact on Atlantic City's Boardwalk and Steel Pier. As you can in the letter Mr. McNeil pulls no punches and expresses his distress and disgust with fair customers stating, 'something seems to be wrong with our people' - and asking George Hamid for feedback. Condition is good for any vintage thinned paper document lots of creasing and wear along edges. Back is blank. This is a great Mt. Airy Surry and circus fair collectible that will ship fast and FREE!
