MCM Vintage Bauer Pottery La Linda Seven Piece (LOT of 7) Dinnerware Set Brown

Description: Vintage MCM Bauer Pottery Los Angeles 7 piece La Linda dinnerware place setting, with salt/pepper thrown in. It's more of a brownish-red terracotta color, but back in the day, Bauer listed it in their 1940's catalog as 'brown'. The set includes:Coffee Cup Tumbler (4" tall)Saucer (6")Salt and Pepper ShakersBread & Butter Plate (6")Dinner Plate (9") No maker's mark on bottom of tumbler, salt & pepper or coffee cup, but all other pieces include either the 'BAUER U.S.A. LOS ANGELES', or 'BAUER MADE IN U.S.A. LOS ANGELES' maker's mark stamped. All are Bauer. This pattern can be found in the 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Bauer Pottery' by Jack Chipman, pages 82-85 (see last two photos). The glaze is shiny, clean and all pieces are in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, hairlines, and very minimal signs of use. Tumbler has two *very* small fleabites on the side of the rim. See photo #12. The underside of the dinner plate has what appears in the photograph as a crack, but it's actually an original factory missed glaze skip. As is generally understood with most vintage Bauer, color consistency can often-times be slightly off, and each of these pieces in this set have some very minimal variations in the glaze color. But as with most vintage Bauer, it just adds to it's unique quality (generally, no two pieces are identical). Please review all photos and if more are needed, or you have questions, please ask.
