Description: For sale is this Nakamichi R-1 stereo receiver and CP-1 cassette/ CD combo player with speakers. First, the negative. The CD tray DOES NOT open or close. I took the player to a local stereo repair technician (yes there are still out there) to have my mother's beloved big band CD rescued. He opened the case, retrieved the CD and put it all back together. He did say that if you had the parts, it would be a relatively easy fix. I do not have the parts, expertise or time, so I decided to sell the system as is. Except for some very minor blemishes to the case that appear to be from stacking the system, it is all in really good shape. The system powers on perfectly, the cassette and radio would great and actually sound surprisingly good. The system comes with the remote, documentation and a Terk FM antennae (I didn't test that, consider it a freebie.) Feel free to ask any questions and thank you for looking.
