Just add your favorite headstall or bosal hanger to complete this set. The bosal is natural and black colored genuine rawhide. The bosal is 16 plait count nose and 12 plait count cheeks. The bosal is a rawhide core bosal (NO inner metal core) approximately 5/8" diameter and 2" circumference so it will accommodate most headstalls or bosal hangers. The Black and Tan genuine horsehair mecate rein will be prickly to encourage better communication with the horse. The length of the mecate rein is approximately 23 feet and will be tied onto the bosal in the traditional style creating one single rein with a lead. This is a beautiful set and nice quality.
