Nettie Rosenstein Rare Perfect condition Gold Greek Roman Necklace Laurel Leaf

Description: I have been collecting Jewelry for 40 years and I have never seen another like this gorgeous Nettie Rosenstein necklace. There are a number of her Greek/Roman pieces out there but not this one. It is super rare. The pendant is about 3 inches across not including the dangles. The beautifully carved pendant’s motif is of a 4 horse chariot and rider racing in the Circus Maximus. At the bottom you can see the Colosseum and below that are amphorae shaped dangles. Crowning this pendant is a swag of Laural Leaves, a symbol of triumph Added to this the links of the necklace are intricately carved Laurel Leaf crowns. Each link is carved in the full round so, the backside of each link is as sumptuous as the front. The gold plating is PERFECT. It is like it was never worn. There are no scratches, dings, or rubbings anywhere in this necklace. The chain that the pendant hangs on is made of what I think is bronze plated with gold. It certainly is not pot metal. The weight of the necklace is hefty but not uncomfortable. It’s like the difference between a fine automobile and a cheep one when you sit in it for the 1st time.
